Mini Halloween Update

Sorry I've been missing in action for about a week. Been so busy!!! This September has put everything into high gear here and I haven't stopped for a moment to catch my breath or so it would seem. I feel like everything is falling into place though and that's very exciting. In a couple of weeks, I might have some very good news to share too.

But--Hey, I actually got it together and have a mini Halloween Update for the Shoppe today! I've even started on Thanksgiving believe it or not, and hope to get the Christmas vibe going again before life gets too crazy.

I'm really loving these spun cotton and chenille creations and it's so much fun for me to create them. I feel like I found my calling (again~you know how I am) Anyhow, I Hope you enjoy them too. Today it actually feels like fall here on account of no sun out today and the threat of some badly needed rain is predicted for today and tomorrow. I've even got the heat on today and I feel like cuddling up in front of the fireplace now that I've got these all listed in the shoppe. Anyhow, that's why the pictures are not the greatest--too dark inside.

Here is my little ghostly trio---inspired by those vintage crepe paper favors I got at the Rose Bowl last month.

And I made two new Skeleton Boxes--really made to go together and I hope they stay that way. It's a "His and Hers" sort of thing with candy boxes.

I got the skeleton for his wand at the flea market I went to last week. You know, the one I still need to take Close-up pictures of to show you? I'm not sure if the little skeleton is vintage or not--but whatever it is, it's way cool. I walked away from them at first though, unsure what I would do with them and then came back several hours later when I thought of the wand idea. Lucky for me, they (yes, there is a couple more) were still there!

 

Then I got a little adventurous and made this guy...

 

Who is now my current fav.

What can I say but the devil made me do it!

Only 29 more days to go!

I hope to sneak a couple more Halloween items in the shoppe by next week! It will be a little mini update~~It's been such a great time for my etsy store. Thanks so much for the support!

I'm really enjoying my creative time right now.

It's been a real TREAT

Hey, my Trick or Treat Boxes all sold out today! Thanks for all the support peoples! I've gotten very high compliments from the recipients too so I think we are on to something here. I've even gotten requests for more. Woo HOO!
Looks like I'm not done with Halloween yet. I worked on this little crepe paper JOL ghostie favor over the weekend.

But didn't get anything done today. Kiddo home with me because of the jewish holiday. We went thrifting and got a couple of things that I'll show later in the week~ Nothing terribly exciting but decent enough.

So, I'm going to restock the shoppe with a nice selling item today and I'm down to my last few packs so pretty soon they will be gone:

I guess I'm turning into a Holiday Shoppe all year round~and that's fine with me.

Halloween is in da house

It took all day ~ and I mean

but the Shoppe is stocked with Halloween! I think in the future, I'll just load 'em in as I go along...

Halloween is Coming!

Trying like the dickens to get this guy and about 9 of his spooky friends in the shoppe by tonight hopefully but for sure by tomorrow. Just waiting for the sun to show up this morning so I can take some decent pictures!

And had a great day at the swap meet/Rose Bowl yesterday. Lots of goodies to show---stay tuned!

Update: I still had too many details to finish for the photo shoot; I'm afraid the shoppe opening will be tomorrow!

Every Witch Way

Been a little crazy around here. Kiddo back in school--a new school--new problems to sort out--more control to give up...oh dear. Trying not to stress too much about the allergy problem and how it will be handled and how they won't let me near.
Fighting a really bad cold, horrible sore throat at the moment BUT working like a little bee on some new stuff for the shoppe reopening WITCH i hope will be September 14th. Fingers crossed.

Halloween is in the air and I've been working with some spun cotton (one of my favorite things) and pipe cleaners (also one of my favorite things) and coming up with quite a few candy containers for you all to see--hence my absence for so long around here.

Where did October Go?

What a month! Where did it go? So many plans waylaid.

I've been collecting all this Halloween fabric in the hopes I'd be able to get back to critter making and it's so nice when you have a great palette to choose from. Well, I guess I missed that boat for sure. Next year then. sigh. Well, on the bright side, at least I'm well stocked now.

Then before I knew it; It was Halloween!

We put up tons of decorations, inside and out and I did a presentation at the Library as the Halloween Queen. I decided to don my cape again on Halloween night and sat outside the door and handed out the candy with Ruby as my sidekick. I have to admit, I love scaring kids. hahaha

But there's no turning back now.....see what happens when you host a thing called the Paperbag Swag?--you get the idea to make your own book in the same vein--and then make 5 copies of it.

But now I gotta clean up the mess I made on the floor today. I sure got a lot of stuff; and I could use a lot more I think. heheheh
